The project consists of the reform of a 180 m2 house located in the district of Sant Gervasi, next to Turo Park (Barcelona).
The original space is composed of a day zone marked by large spaces connected to each other, and the room zone, which has bedrooms with illumination to the block courtyard.
Original elements such as the natural herringbone wood flooring, exterior and interior wooden carpentries, as well as the main element of the living room, a large chimney-stack furniture, are maintained.
THE REFORM PROJECT IS BASED ON THE REINTERPRETATION OF THE EXISTING SPATIAL STRUCTURE OF DIFFERENT ROOMS WITH DIFFERENT USES AND ENVIRONMENTS, REDEFINING NEW VISUAL CONNECTIONS WITHOUT THE TRADITIONAL ELEMENTS BEING PREDOMINANT.
The walls and wood carpentries, all in ivory white, are common elements throughout the house, giving it luminosity and serving as a conductive thread through the different environments.
